LIVERPOOL PORT

The Port of Liverpool comprises a 7.5-mile (12.1 km) enclosed dock system extending from Brunswick Dock in Liverpool to Seaforth Dock, Seaforth, on the eastern side of the River Mersey. Additionally, the system includes the Birkenhead Docks situated between Birkenhead and Wallasey on the western side of the river.

The Port of Liverpool encompasses two container terminals: the Royal Seaforth Container Terminal (RSCT) and Liverpool2. These primary terminals are further supported by facilities located in Greenock, Scotland; Dublin, Ireland; and inland ports along the Manchester Ship Canal

A Gateway to Transatlantic Trade

The Port of Liverpool, a premier global port with a rich history, is poised for continued growth. Through ongoing investments in equipment, expertise, and customer-centric services, we provide innovative solutions to support businesses in achieving their goals and expanding their reach.

Modernized Cruise terminal

Modern Liverpool, featuring a state-of-the-art cruise terminal, seamlessly blends historic docks, museums, and architecture with contemporary transportation access and facilities.

Liverpool Cruise Terminal is divided into two accessible locations. For passengers requiring mobility assistance, mini-buses and adapted vehicles are available to transport them between baggage reclaim and the ship’s gangway.

Olsen, Marella Cruises, P&O Cruises, Princess Cruises, Ambassador Cruise Line, and Cunard all offer cruise itineraries that include Liverpool. While Cunard’s itineraries feature Liverpool as a port of call, the other cruise lines offer departures from the city.

Advantages of both Container Terminals

Selecting Liverpool provides businesses with access to its strategic location, extensive hinterland connectivity, and proximity to UK import and export markets, resulting in reduced costs, carbon emissions, and congestion.

As one of the most operationally efficient and modern container terminals in Northern Europe, Liverpool 2 is capable of handling the world’s largest container vessels. This future-proof design enables global shippers to access major import and export centers in the UK through seamless “ship-to-door” logistics.
