FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

How much do you charge for shipping a vehicle/Cargo?

The prices vary depending on the type of vehicle, as we often require the customer to provide the make/model of the car and sometimes the dimensions (for vans and trucks, machinery, buses, coaches, trailers, caravans, and motorhomes) to calculate an accurate price. The cargo price will depend on the container size required and where you are loading from (in the UK).

Except expressly stated by us in the quote, the price quote often excludes customs at the destination, as the shipper is expected to have arranged for a broker agent to advise on customs-related issues before shipping.

We only accept payment by bank transfer or if you have the cash you can pay in a bank. After the booking has been confirmed we will send an invoice with our bank details for you to make payment.

Some shipments can be tracked, by sending you a link on request however we can always check with the shipping lines for an adequate update regarding your shipment.

Yes about the vehicle, will prepare a shipping note and customs documentation sent over email for you to print out and hand over to the relevant parties at the port.

it is the general standard that all vehicles shipped must be drivable, to drive the car in and out of the vessel, especially in a Roro service. The same rule will apply to a container service, except the customer owns the container even still, we will need clearance from the shipping line.

Please click on the BOOK NOW link, via email or website, fill in the required fields, and submit. Once received we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Yes the fuel level should not be more than a quarter full given that the shipping line usually checks the fuel level in the vehicle and will refuse to load the car onto the vessel if the fuel level is too high.

The general idea is that the vehicle should have sufficient fuel to drive in and out of the vessel.

Yes only as long as there is enough space to accommodate the truck with a trailer and a clear access point not blocking the road, traffic, or pedestrians. Some premises may require a permit to load so before booking, it is the customer’s responsibility to check and make sure they have the required permit for the location.

Otherwise stated, the standard time is 3hrs after which is chargeable. The container can be left with you for a few days upon your request, which will cost extra in addition to the standard loading time.

You will require clearance from the Finance company in the form of a letter otherwise the vehicle can be seized by the port police and the customer may be fined for this.

No, only vehicles and cargo can be shipped, no passengers are allowed on the vessel.

This varies depending on your chosen mode of transportation Our Roro service information can be found in the schedules link on the website, and our quotes often state the next available vessel and transit time. Where this is not clearly stated, feel free to request an update.

You sure can, and in case where you require assistance, we can organize a vehicle transporter to pick up your vehicle and deliver it to the port upon an agreed charge.

When shipping your vehicle, we require that you provide your logbook/V5(2nd page showing the vehicle details). Regarding shipping items in a container, we require that you provide a packing list.

Yes, we do. We only require that these items are properly secure and that the dimension and weight of each pallet is provided to get a quote. Not just pallets, we ship bales, and boxes as long as they are well packaged.

You don’t require either to ship your vehicle however, some countries require inspection before shipping and as such, MOT will be required by the inspection companies in the UK.

We will then send you a draft bill of lading to check, and make any corrections, after which will send your original bill of lading by post or if you prefer, we can instruct the shipping line to release it by telex to your destination which will be evidenced by the final copy of the bill of lading sent you via email.

Please check with us first as there seem to be restrictions on such nowadays with different shipping lines.
